This craft is the result of a beautiful wreath I saw on Martha Stewart and the fact that I started getting newspapers twice a week in an attempt to coupon. That has yet to happen. So you may be seeing a lot of Newspaper crafts on here :)
what you'll need: A wire wreath, newspaper, water color paints, glue, a stapler, scissors, and wire ribbon
difficulty level: medium
cost: $5
step one: make your leaves! I only wanted to use the type from the papers, not the pictures, so I cut out sections of articles as large as I could. You'll need them to be double layered or they will curl up all weird, so that's what your glue is for. Then get crazy painting. There is no real technique here.... just like when you were a kid. Let that dry completely
step two: accordion fold your paper pieces and cut multiple leaves at once. Different shapes and sizes.
step three: wrap your wire wreath in newspaper strips and staple to hold.
step four: staple your pretty leaves to the wreath. Repeat for a very long time.
step five: staple the center of your ribbon (about a yard and a half) and tie your bow. Trim the ends to a nice length.
Then hang it on the wall and rinse of your paintbrush :) Happy Fall!!!
